Dr. Randa Asad obtained her PhD from the University of Cincinnati in USA. At the American University of Sharjah, she teaches several physics and astronomy courses and engages students in research projects. Dr. Asad’s research interest focuses on analyzing the observed spectra of distant star clusters to trace the chemical enrichment history of their host galaxies. She has been an invited visiting researcher at several renowned astrophysics research centers like Harvard Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics (CfA), Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) and ESO headquarters in Germany among others and has invited to present her research internationally in all six continents.
