David Gourley is responsible for the master planning and architecture development and transition of the Expo site as it is re-purposed into a mixed-use community that supports Dubai’s sustainable urban development. His role involves overseeing design, strategy and planning of the blueprint for the human-centric future city, which will evolve following the six months of the World Expo. He plays a key role in applying innovative urban planning principles including shaping a “15-minute city”; and a smart and sustainable integrated environment to live, work and explore. David has extensive experience in property development and architectural and urban design. His career spans 40 years across residential, retail, hospitality and mixed-use commercial projects in the Middle East, Australia and the South-East Asian regions.
