Dr. McBain has more than 20 years of experience in sustainability roles across various sectors. She was the Chief Sustainability Officer at Thai Union Group, a global seafood supplier conglomerate. Dr. McBain holds a PhD in social indicators for global supply chain analysis and a Masters in business strategy, politics and environment; she was named as a UN Sustainable Development Goal Pioneer for a Sustainable Ocean Economy. She has served as the Sustainable Procurement Lead for the United Kingdom’s NHS, advised the UN, worked with WWF, and headed her own consultancy. She is a lecturer of Integrated Sustainability Analysis at the University of Sydney, a Director and Board Member for Be Slavery Free, a Non-Executive Director for Indonesian palm oil producer M.P. Evans, and a Walton Family Foundation Fellow.
