Access to the internet is becoming a necessity more than a luxury - but how do we extend internet access to vulnerable populations? Richard Thanki, economist and computer scientist, has centered his tech startup around this question. Jangala, a UK based charity, enables internet access for people in need of urgent humanitarian aid, especially refugees. As a child of refugees from Uganda, this is a topic close to his heart and lived experiences - the future is already here, it’s just not evenly distributed.
