The Thematic District Restaurants have a presence in Expo 2020 Dubai's incredible thematic pavilions - Alif, Terra and Mission Possible - and their concepts reflect the pavilions' subthemes of Mobility, Sustainability and Opportunity.

Chef Matthew Kenney's rooftop concept, Mudra shares the plant-based lifestyle though approachable dishes. The menu ranges from gourmet pizzas and burgers to novelty Nikkei sushi, alongside innovative starters and mains to impress the finest palates.

Internationally acclaimed restaurants and chefs making their UAE debut.

The Never Been Seen Collection features a range of global culinary experiences brought especially to Expo 2020, bringing together chefs and flavours that had not previously had a presence in Dubai.

Named “the perfect burger” by The New York Times, chef David Myers’ epic burger recipe has travelled the world. Serving signature burgers, grown-up shakes and crispy sides, Adrift embraces Californian roots with hints of the chef's global travels.

Beirut-based BARON brings an organic approach to its delivery. The menu is inspired by organic farmers’ markets, sustainable fishing boats and the meanderings of the team's travels.

London-based bakery Bread Ahead makes its UAE debut. Renowned for its artisanal doughnuts and sourdough pizzas baked in the traditional way using fresh, seasonal ingredients. The Bread Ahead School teaches home bakers to bake like professionals.

As we live through a climate crisis that gets worse by the day, how can food innovations help make the way we eat and what we eat sustainable for generations to come? Part of that answer might come from the story of the banana.

In 1876, bananas were still a delicacy in the United States. But that year at the Philadelphia Centennial International Exhibition, they went mainstream as a hygienic and sustainable food in a world where food poisoning was all too common.
